4連敗、11戰只贏1場，洛杉磯天使3日把怨氣一次發洩在波士頓紅襪身上，單場狂掃22安，其中在7局上爆灌11分，在客場以21比2血洗紅襪，打出球隊近12年來最凶狠一役，同時克隆和C.裴瑞茲合敲11安、11打點，也寫下大聯盟自1936以來的紀錄。
天使前6局打完就拉開9比1領先，進入第7局時更是打瘋了，整整攻了14人次，靠克隆和C.裴瑞茲2支全壘打在內的9支安打灌進11分，單局得分就是球隊前4戰得分總和，也是天使繼1997年5月13日後再度打下11分大局。
終場天使以21分掃下紅襪，隊史第6度單場得分破20，上一次是2004年8月26日對上堪薩斯皇家之戰，總教練索西亞表示：「這來得正式時候，就希望能從中獲得一點動力，並希望我們能把這股力量帶進明天的比賽。」
此役天使單場掃出22支安打也是隊史自2009年以來最多，其中克隆繳出6支6、5得分、5打點表現，是大聯盟史上第5人，C.裴瑞茲6打數5安打、貢獻6分打點，單隊兩人雙繳至少5安、5打點更是1936年後首次。
至於普侯斯首局就轟出左外野2分炮，單場5支2，貢獻5分打點，成為史上第8位達成生涯575轟、1750打點的球員。桑提亞戈則以先發6局無責失的表現拿下此戰勝投，對於這瘋狂的一夜，他說：「這感覺太棒了，我不認為我們有過像這樣的比賽。」
